Citizens Advice Gosport is looking to appoint a highly motived and experienced Debt Caseworker. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible, working primarily from our offices at Martin Snape House, Gosport. Our offices are easily accessible and situated in the Town Centre within walking distance of Portsmouth Harbour and the Bus Station.

We are looking for an experienced caseworker with a ‘Can Do’ approach, ideally with some debt and housing experience. Training can be provided for the right candidate.

The appointment may be on a part-time or a full-time basis. There is scope for flexible working hours but you should be prepared to provide cover on a rotational basis on Wednesday afternoons until 6.30 pm and on Saturday mornings from 10 am to midday.
Holiday allocation is 33 days per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays (pro rata).

Citizens Advice Basingstoke, founded in 1961, is a local independent charity and a member of the national association Citizens Advice. Our objective is to support the local community by providing free, independent and impartial advice to individuals and families in need, valuing diversity, promoting equality and challenging discrimination and harassment.
You will provide advice and support primarily in 2 distinct areas, as described below. On occasions you may also be asked to assist with other advisory services. Client contact will be face to face, online and over the telephone.
Universal Support: Help to Claim (US HTC)
Citizens Advice Basingstoke will shortly start delivering a new service called Universal Support: Help to Claim. This service will assist people through the process of making a claim for Universal Credit and help them to be ready to cope with a new payment system.
Local Welfare Assistance (LWA)
Local Welfare Assistance is a service funded by Hampshire County Council. It provides telephone-based advice, information and guidance not only to those in crises but also to any household that may need assistance in averting an impending crisis.
