About this event

  • 2 hours

Facilitator: Gill Ormond

This half-day session will provide the opportunity for those conducting QAA reviews in LCAs to share the experience of others doing the same job across Hampshire. It will provide the opportunity to:

  • Refresh and clarify our understanding of the QAA requirements
  • Check for consistency between the quality reviewers in different LCAs in Hampshire
  • Provide reassurance and mutual support for the judgments we make in awarding QAA scores

During the session we will share a range of cases to allow us to ensure that our approach to writing QAA reviews is in line with colleagues across the county.

With this in mind, please would you prepare one case from your own case reviews to be emailed in advance to the facilitator and shared with the group in advance of the meeting. Where there is more than one delegate attending from any LCA, please just prepare one case per LCA. You don't need to include the entire case, but you do need to include enough for us to conduct a QAA review, so you should include such things as:

  • relevant case notes
  • relevant attachments
  • relevant client data
  • relevant consent recording
  • your review
  • the assesment by your assessor (if the case has been assessed)

Do feel free to redact information if you prefer, but please remember that all delegates are members of an LCA and bound by our confidentiality policies. You should also consider your LCA's own policies in handling client information outside of your offices.
